
Lavender Cookies
This is one way we use our lavender flavored honey.
- 2/3 C melted butter
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/2 C lavender flavored honey
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 C flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Optional: Lavender buds and coarse sugar for topping
- Mix the butter, sugar and lavender honey till smooth.
- Add the vanilla and eggs.
- Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt till mixed completely.
- Chill the covered dough 60 minutes (it’s a sticky dough).
- Preheat the oven to 350.
- Form 2 TB balls of dough into balls
- Optional: Roll the dough balls in the coarse sugar.
- Place the balls on a cookie sheet gently pressing them into a flat cookie.
- Optional: Sprinkle cookies with lavender buds.
- Bake 10-15 minutes or until edges just start to brown and become a bit crispy.
